The October workshop, “Interpretation 4 Ways” with Peter Lloyd, explored how changes in size, weight, colour and style can bring calligraphy to life, highlighting important words and influencing how a piece is read and felt. Using examples of his own beautiful work, Peter demonstrated how these techniques can enhance a composition and convey emotion. Participants were encouraged to experiment with their chosen poems or verses, putting ideas onto paper and allowing the design to develop naturally.

With Peter’s expert guidance and individual feedback, everyone had the opportunity to explore different scripts, share progress and learn from one another. The supportive atmosphere and group discussions helped participants develop their ideas, gain confidence and leave feeling inspired to continue their work. Our thanks go to Peter for his expertise and enthusiasm.
