This workshop with Helen Scholes due in November has been postponed due to illness.
Heraldry is a fascinating subject with a rich and dramatic history. We will look at some of the rules associated with using heraldic images and how they affect the calligrapher. We will learn how to construct some basic forms and how to apply colour using gouache paint to create a finished shield using a Tudor rose or a scallop shell – and take a step towards a greater understanding of the subject.
You do not need to be a brilliant artist to do this workshop!
