2024 – Words of the Natural World – Nature in Art, Twigworth
In May 2024 we held our first full exhibition for nearly 10 years! It was held at Nature in Art in Twigworth and over 80 pieces of work were displayed, these included words written on pottery, fabric as well as paper and a large collection of folded items and books. The exhibition was visited by over 700 visitors including our own GLA members, many people interested in taking up the art and those who already enjoy making their own work.

2018 – Calligraphy, Chords and Cakes – Highnam
As part of the Gloucester History Festival, we set up quill-making, gilding and calligraphy demonstrations for the day on 15 September in Holy Innocents Church, Highnam. Along with a display of our work from over the years, we enjoyed musical interludes of singing and bell-ringing. Sales of cakes and recipe cards all contributed to the fund for the restoration of the church.

2017 – August – GLA at Nature in Art
We were artists in residence for a week at Twigworth, showing our lettering skills on paper and stone, and an exhibition of work in gold.

2015 – When in Rome … at Corinium Museum
For a month, from St Valentine’s Day to the Ides of March, we showed our work in Cirencester. Taking the proverb as our theme, we had fun letting our imagination roam. Signposts to European countries with advice on what to see or do when there – or reworking Roman lettering and ancient quotes.
