Peter began the day with an explanation of how he imagines the original scribe approached the task of writing the Hereford Gospels, sharing the clues found in the book and its constituent ‘gatherings’ and how one might interpret them. Peter’s gentle yet evident passion for his subject set us up really well as we explored the script together and moved on to develop our own designs. A wonderful and calming day.
