This was such a rewarding day. Discovering ways of printing with leaves in ways which I could never have imagined. The most surprising things – who knew that soaking leaves in iron water makes them leave an imprint on paper! Iron water is exactly water that has had rusty bits of metal, nails or screws steeped in it. And who knew you could then “cook” the paper in large pots of simmering water! Lizzie kept warning us not to let the water boil. What fun! What joy! Came away with a happy heart and a bagful of ideas.
