When we joined Anna for this creative experimental workshop and learnt how to creatively decorate the foredge of books, we had no idea how much we could achieve with such simple tools as clamps and boards to hold the book pages tight and firm. Then off we went – sanding, wetting, sploshing, stamping, outlining, drawing, painting. Results galore. The excitement as we watched someone else have a go and see what happens – woo-hooh!! Try it with something that doesn’t matter. If you don’t like it, sand it back and start over. Amazingly, crinkled pages seemed to dry back nice and straight again.
