GLA began life as Glevum Scribes, founded in 1991 by professional scribes, sculptors, engravers and tutors, who wished to form a group for people to share their lettering-based interests, to learn from each other, and it continues to flourish with a membership of over 50 people.
Members are encouraged to take part in competitions and exhibitions of work and there is an annual award.
Members receive a quarterly colour newsletter with reports of recent workshops and interesting articles.
Subscriptions are due on 1 April each year.
£20 per person.
